Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve Amendment 3 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) CTR070113, CDC Overdose Data to Action (OD2A), between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services (CHSS), in the amount of $83,636, effective September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026.
Background:
The original Overdose Prevention IGA, CTR070113 beginning FY 2024 was approved on June 4, 2024. The approval and funding from this CDC grant will assist CCHSS in addressing the opioid issue through prevention-based strategies; increase access to Naloxone, conduct overdose recognition/response trainings, coordinate post-release transportation services, and increase awareness of local service providers. This is a grant-funded cost reimbursement program through the ADHS in the amount of $83,636. Funds are 100% federally funded. This IGA currently funds .80 FTE.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Your approvals are respectfully requested. Program will continue to distribute Naloxone, provide trainings, coordinate transportation services, and promote local service providers.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Not approving this Amendment would revert budget line items to original IGA and not allow for revisions.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Send signed IGA to CCHSS, Suzanne Hagle, Prevention Services Division Director.
