Approve Contract 26-01-FAC-01, with Desert Springs Construction & Remodeling, LLC, for the demo and remodel of the Elections and Treasurers Departments located at 1415 W Melody Lane, Building E, in an amount of $231,760, effective October 21, 2025.
Background:
The remodel will increase the ballot cage space; increase the tabulation room space; build an observation area where observers can watch the ballot process in person through large glass windows; move the election staff near the front to provide better customer service; increase the size of the Treasurer's vault; and add two additional bathrooms in the Treasurer's office, which will remove the hallway that splits the elections department in two sections.
The Procurement Department issued Request for Proposal 26-01-FAC-01 on September 4, 2025. All interested vendors attended a site visit. All proposals were reviewed, with the winning bidder being Desert Springs Construction & Remodeling, LLC.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The remodel will not occur and the increase to the ballot cage space, increase in tabulation room space and observation area, and increase the size of Treasurer's vault will not be completed.
