Approve Fiscal Year 2026 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Grant from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), in the amount of $884.66.
Background:
This is an annual reimbursement grant for the jail education program managed by the Cochise County School Superintendent's Office. The funds will be used to pay to send our Jail Educator to the Arizona Correctional Educators Conference, which takes place every June in Phoenix.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The Schools Department will request reimbursement from ADE in July of 2026. The grant period runs through September 30, 2026.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Department would use alternate funds to pay for the conference.
