Agenda Item Text:
Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) CTR063847, Amendment 3 between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise County Health & Social Services (CCHSS) for the Arizona Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention Program, in the amount of $258,509.55, effective September 30, 2025 through September 29, 2026.
Background:
The original Overdose Prevention Contract with ADHS was approved February 2023. The renewal of this grant funding will continue to support the work of the Overdose Fatality Review Board and strengthen linkages to care for individuals transitioning out of the Cochise County Jail. Funding will enhance services provided by the Public Health Social Worker and Community Health Worker by identifying individual needs, coordinating substance-use treatment upon release, and providing follow-up case management and transportation services to support successful recovery and community reentry.
In this Amendment, there has been a slight increase to the budget amount. The deliverables remain the same, with added specificity and metrics for each task. This is a grant-funded cost reimbursement IGA through ADHS in the amount of $258,509.55. Funds are a combination of federal and state funding. This IGA currently funds 2.60 FTEs.
