Approve the appointment of Neil Tucker to the Planning & Zoning Commission representing District 2, effective January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2029.
Background:
The Planning & Zoning Commission is composed of nine members, with three representatives from each supervisory district. Members must reside within the district they represent and are nominated by the County Supervisor for that district. Members of the Planning & Zoning Commission serve staggered four-year terms. Mr. Neil Tucker has been nominated and has agreed to fill a District 3 seat. His term will be effective January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send an appointment letter and administer the Oath of Office to Mr. Tucker, as stated below in the BOS staff follow-up.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Planning & Zoning Commission will have a vacant seat within District 3.
