Information
Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Zoning Ordinance 26-01 to rezone tax parcels 203-16-007, 203-19-018A, 203-19-036C, 202-44-017, 202-86-002, the west half of 202-44-012, and the west half of the east half of 202-67-002 from R-36 (Residential District, one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) to RU-4 (Rural District, one dwelling per 4 acres) pursuant to the application of Adapture Renewables Inc (Supervisor District 3).
Background:
The County received a request from Adapture Renewables Inc (applicant) to rezone tax parcels 203-16-007, 203-19-018A, 203-19-036C, 202-44-017, 202-86-002, the west half of 202-44-012, and the west half of the east half of 202-67-002 from R-36 (Residential District, one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) to RU-4 (Rural District, one dwelling per 4 acres). The property totals about 900 acres and is generally located along Patte Road east of Willcox. The applicant requests rezoning from R-36 to RU-4, intending to seek Special Use Authorization approval for a future solar energy power plant.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The department will update the zoning map to reflect the new zoning district.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The parcels will remain R-36 and future development will conform to applicable use and site development standards of the R-36 zoning district.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
