Adopt Resolution 26-04 authorizing the abandonment of Buena Vista Ranchettes subdivision pursuant to the application of Kevin Colwell, Brandi Comeau, John Comeau, Spencer Grijalva, Mahlon MacKenzie, Margene MacKenzie, Shelly Owens, Kati Robinson, Rylee Robinson, Eric Spencer, and Janitzy Spencer (Supervisor District 3).
Background:
The County received a request to abandon Buena Vista Ranchettes subdivision and vacate the accompanying Assurance Agreement. The subdivision was platted in 1988 and remains undeveloped, consisting of 20 lots encompassing approximately 73.8 acres along N. Mescal Road west of Benson. Multiple property owners request abandonment to revert the property back to its previous parcel configuration to facilitate lot combinations and consolidate ownership.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The department will notify the applicant that all parcels under common ownership must be combined through the Assessor's Office.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The plat will not be abandoned and each of the 20 lots within the approved subdivision will remain independent tax parcels.
