Approve Amendment #1 26-0011711-I to Intergovernmental Agreement IGA 23-0009212-I, Moson Road: State Route 90 – Hereford Rd, between the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Cochise County, to administer the design of the Moson Road corridor from State Route 90 to Hereford Road and spot improvements on Moson Road, North of Garden Creek Wash in the total amount of $1,090,445, effective upon signing through project completion, and authorize the County cost share of $90,445 (paid in 2023).
Background:
ADOT IGA 23-0009212-I is the result of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization (SVMPO) Moson Road Cross-Section Lane layout Study that was completed May 1, 2023. That study recommended changes in lane layout, improved intersections, and drainage.
The SVMPO is providing $1,000,000.00 in STBG funds for the design of Moson Road from SR90 to Hereford Road. The purpose of Amendment #1 is to include design of spot improvements on Moson Road, North of Garden Creek Wash due to ROW schedule constraints and current construction funding limitations, the final design has been focused on a priority segment (north of Garden Creek Wash). The remaining segments will proceed to final design once construction funding is secured through future grants or TIP programming within the 5-year program.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County will not have the opportunity to obtain the amended design services to improve Moson
