Adopt Resolution 12-56 canceling the San Jose Fire District Board November 6, 2012 election for the one 4-year board seat up for election and resolving that the board position is hereby declared vacant, effective the 1st day of December 2012, to be filled by the Board Members at that time.

Background:

A.R.S. 48-802 (D)(4) provides that the Board of Supervisors may cancel the election for Fire District Governing Board seats and appoint the person who filed nomination papers to fill the position when the number of positions is equal to or more then the number of persons who filed nomination papers

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Notify the San Jose Fire District of the cancellation of the election and declaration of vacancy.

San Jose Fire District will incur cost of election
