Adopt Resolution 12-62 canceling the St. David Water District Board November 6, 2012 election for the two 4-year board seats up for election and resolving that the board positions are hereby declared vacant, effective the 1st day of January 2013, to be filled by the Board Members at that time.
Background:
A.R.S. 16-410 provides that the Board of Supervisors may cancel the election for a Special District Governing Board seat and appoint the person who filed nomination papers to fill the position when the number of positions is equal to or more then the number of persons who filed nomination papers.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Notify the St. David Water District of the election cancellation and declaration of Board vacancies.
