Docket RZ23-09 and CPA 23-02 (Fruge) The applicant, Mark Fruge, requests approval of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for parcel numbers 202-76-227A and 202-76-098A from B-Neighborhood Conservation to D-Rural. Concurrently, the applicant asks for approval of a rezoning for parcel numbers 202-76-227A and 202-76-098A from SR-43 (Single Household Residential, one dwelling per acre) to RU-4 (one dwelling per 4 acres).

Background:

The applicant, Mark Fruge, owns parcel numbers 202-76-227A (8.87 acres) and 202-76-098A (9.76 acres). He would like to homestead this property and requests that the parcels be down-zoned to RU-4 (Rural-one dwelling per 4 acres). The property is presently zoned SR-43 (Single Household Residential-one dwelling per acre). Concurrent with the down-zoning application, the applicant requests that the Comprehensive Plan Growth Area and Plan Designation be changed from B-Neighborhood Conservation to D- Rural for his two parcels. The area is sparsely populated and this land use designation is more reflective of the land use pattern of the area.
