Approve appointments of county-wide Justices of the Peace Pro Tempore David Howe, Paul Julien, William Lakosil, and Frederick Thompson for a period beginning immediately and ending 6/30/2013 pursuant to ARS 22-121.
Background:
Each fiscal year, the court is required to reappoint judges pro tem. Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore Ann S. Lund gave up her position as regular JP pro tem when she was appointed the Huachuca City Magistrate. Judge Hoggatt tasked the Hon. Joe Knoblock, presiding JP, to chair a selection committee to screen applications, conduct interviews, and recommend suitable candidates to replace Judge Lund. Judge Hoggatt also interviewed the candidates and concluded that all four are highly qualified and deserve an opportunity to serve as pro tem.
