Accept the Assessor's recommendation to approve the attached list of 124 property tax exemption applications which qualify for the exemption but were filed with the Assessor after the statutory filing deadline of March 1, 2013.
Background:
ARS 42-11153(B) allows the county board of supervisors to grant a qualified property tax exemption to a taxpayer who files their exemption after the March 1 filing deadline but prior to the setting of the tax rate for tax year 2013. See Attached List.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Upon approval Assessor will implement property tax exemptions for the 2013 tax roll.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The attached 124 propertry owners would be denied the 2013 property tax exemption.
