Approve Amendment #2 to the Intergovernment Agreement (IGA), Attorney General Contract #KR11-0109 for Title Funds for Juvenile Detention Education Services to receive additional Title I Funds.
Background:
The Arizona Supreme Court-Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) adminsters title funding received from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) annually for distribution to the juvenile detention center to fund education and transition programming services.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Upon approval and signature by Board of Supervisor's Chairman; the department will utilize the additional funds to install new ultra-flex ground covering in the juvenile detention center's recreation area for physical education used daily by the juvenile detainees.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
No funding for replacement of the current ground covering in the recreation area at juvenile detention center. The rock/gravel has been identified by the department staff as being used to deface the interior of the detention center and also creates a safety risk to detention staff.

AOC has directed to use blue ink for signatures. Please do not sign the attached IGA provided for reference only. The original IGA documents will be provided to the BOS prior to the meeting on July 23rd.

The additional title I funds of $36,942.73 available with BOS approval of the IGA amendment and the already budgeted $8,455.15 for FY2014 in this title I fund will provide the budget for total cost of $45,397.88 reference the attached quote #P13-2760 from Flex-Ground, Playground Safety Surfacing. The quote was submitted to, reviewed and approved by County Procurement Senior Buyer, Terry Rutan and Director, David Seward.
