Discuss the subdivision road abandonment issue where related improvements have been constructed but no lot sales have occurred.
Background:
In discussing the proposed Highway work plan, the Board was concerned that Highway was having to apply a plastic seal to subdivision roads improved seven to eight years ago, in order to preserve and maintain them. However, not a single lot of the subdivision has been sold. So County has several miles of road (in this case about 5) to maintain that serve no residents. That brought up the question of what responsibility did County have in the event that the subdivision never developed. Britt will be answering that question for the Board during the work session.
