Approve the Food Program Permanent Service Agreement - Contract ED09-0001 between Cochise County Juvenile Detention and the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
Background:
Juvenile Court Services' Juvenile Detention Center participates in the National School Program (NSLP) as governed by the agreement with Arizona Department of Education (ADE). The NSLP provides federal funding to ADE for reimbursment to Juvenile Court Services of cost for breakfasts and lunches served to youth at the school operated within the Juvenile Detention Center.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Juvenile Court Services staff will send the two (2) original documents signed with blue ink by Chairman, Patrick Call to Arizona Department of Education.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
No reimbursement of breakfasts and lunches served at juvenile detention center will be received in general fund.

Please have Chairman, Patrick Call use blue ink to sign three (3) original documents as dropped off prior to the meeting. Please keep one (1) original and call Juvenile Court Services 432-7523 for pick up of two (2) original signed documents.

Arizona Department of Education (ADE) uses federal funding from National School Lunch Program (NSLP) to reimburse Juvenile Court Services for the breakfasts and lunches served at juvenile detention center. Juvenile Court Services submits monthly claim to ADE and receives the NSLP reimbursement monthly.
