Approve the Professional Services Agreement for the Bella Vista Ranch Hydrogeological Site Investigation, Phase I with JE Fuller/Hydrology & Geomorphology Incorporated in the not to exceed amount of $292,641 for the period of October 28, 2014 to December 31, 2015.

Background:

JE Fuller will provide the Professional Services for the grant awarded by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to support the hydrogeological site investigation of the Bella Vista Ranch for possible locations for recharging the aquifer and river.
TNC and the Walton Family Foundation have been working with Cochise County to design & develop a Regional Aquifer Recharge Network to ensure water supplies are optimally managed to sustain riparian health within the San Pedro River.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Staff will pursue the partnership with JE Fuller to facilitate a site investigation of the Bella Vista Ranch.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

If not approved, the FCD will not pursue a partnership with JE Fuller for the Bella Vista Ranch site investigation.

TNC awarded Cochise County a $200,000 grant to support the site investigation and will be further supported with $140,000 from the Palominas grant (provided by the Walton Family Foundation) that will be moved and available by the end of 2014.
