Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Resolution FCD 15-02, to specify the rights-of-way to be acquired for the Ash Canyon Creek Crossing Project on Coronado Memorial Road as described therein.
Background:
Due to the 2011 Monument Fire, the watershed of Ash Canyon Creek has been severely damaged. High stormwater flows have damaged the crossing of Ash Canyon Creek and Coronado Memorial Road and flooding tops over the roadway causing the roadway to be closed.
In February of 2013, the Flood Control District Board approved Resolution FCD 13-02 authorizing County participation in a Federal Lands Access Grant to provide an improved culvert crossing to carry water flows under Coronado Memorial Road. County participation includes the acquisition of 4 approximately 80’ by 80’ drainage easements across 2 private properties.
While Resolution FCD 13-02 authorized County participation, the resolution did not identify the area or Tax Assessed Parcel Numbers affected by rights-of-way acquisition. For title purposes the accompanying resolution is being submitted to identify the properties involved.
