Discussion and possible action regarding the Superior Court's Strategic Planning Process.
Background:
In 2013, the Superior Court initiated a Strategic Planning Process which led to the adoption of the first plan for the judicial branch in July of that year. The purpose of this process was to gain consensus from within the court and to incorporate input from stakeholders and the community about what the court does well, what the court may not do as well, and what the court should actually be doing to move forward for the next 4 to 5 years.
This inclusive process was essential in helping to establish the court’s first strategic plan. The plan serves as a fundamental guide to service delivery and improvement. During difficult financial times, this plan can help the court collaboratively engage others in establishing priorities that best serve the needs of the community and the effective administration of justice.
The court has accomplished much over the past few years in each of the five identified focus areas. During the work session, we want to address these successes and explain how the plan has been updated as projects are completed allowing the court to focus on other priority projects. We welcome you input, feedback and partnership.
