Discussion and possible direction on the Cochise County 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan.
Background:
This work session will provide a presentation to the Board on existing conditions, future needs, proposed projects and potential funding for the County’s transportation system. Developing a Long-Range Transportation Plan and identifying key transportation corridors was identified by the Board as part of their 2011-2015 Long-Range Strategic Plan.
Board direction will be requested to identify the County’s priorities for future transportation infrastructure project and programs as well as provide guidance on overarching policies to guide the development of the County’s transportation system. The Board will be asked to identify and prioritize the County’s transportation corridors. Potential funding sources and strategies to address the implications of the current fiscal constraints will also be discussed.
