Approve corrected tax rate and levy for Elfrida Elementary School District at $4.5790.
Background:
A tax rate of $4.5970 was approved by the BOS on 8/17/15. There was a transposition error on this tax rate that was discovered by the Property Tax Oversight Commission. The maximum allowable tax rate, and the tax rate approved by the Elfrida Elementary School District, was $4.5790.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
A revised tax rate spreadsheet with the proper tax rate will be sent for printing of the tax bills
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The incorrect tax rate, over the maximum allowable, and contrary to the rate approved by the School Board, will appear on the tax bills.
