Approve an eight year contract between Cochise County Library District and SirsiDynix Corporation for the software License, subscriptions and software maintenance of the Library District Integrated Library System in the amount of $64,016.13 for the period of January 26, 2016 through January 26, 2024.
Background:
Current contract has one year left. An 8-year term agreement will benefit the Library District financially and maintain the Integrated Library System services. The new agreement (1st attachment) shows the term starting in 2016. The cost will be less than the current contract price of $ 44,871.54(2nd attachment).
Multiple services have been added over the last 7 years that were not in the original contract. This new proposed contract includes those services and are less than if we proceeded with them individually.

Service will SirsiDynix will continue.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The benefit over the period of 8 years: no price increase for the first 3 years, no more than 1.9% increase in the last 5 years of the agreement. Vendor choices are limited. Setup/installation fee (min. $200K - $300K)with new vendor. We have been with SirsiDynix for 15 yrs.
