Discussion and possible direction on the proposed abandonment of platted subdivisions with no progress on subdivision improvements and expired assurance agreements.
Background:
Planning staff has identified platted subdivisions that are partially built with incomplete subdivision improvements and expired assurance agreements. There are also platted subdivisions that have made no progress on subdivision improvements with expired assurance agreements. Staff has successfully contacted some developers to discuss the status of their subdivisions while other contacts have been unsuccessful. Staff is working with those developers contacted that have made subdivision improvements to extend their expired assurance agreements. Staff is seeking approval to pursue the abandonment of those platted subdivisions that have made no progress on subdivision improvements and have expired assurance agreements.
