Adopt Zoning Ordinance 19-08 approving Docket R-19-03, amending the Cochise County Zoning Regulations to delete all references to the Minor Expedited Residential Subdivision Option contained in the Contents and Articles 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 15.
Background:
The Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on Docket R-19-03 on August 14, 2019. The Commission provided unanimous support for a recommendation of approval to the Board of Supervisors.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The Cochise County Zoning Regulations will be amended as shown in Exhibit A attached to the Ordinance.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Minor Expedited Subdivision Option was effectively eliminated with the adoption of the 2019 Edition of the Cochise County Subdivision Regulations (Resolution 19-05). If this ordinance is not adopted, the Zoning Regulations will reference a non-existent development option, which could be confusing to future development applicants.
