Have the Board Chair, Thomas E. Borer, Select by Lot the Order of Republican Candidates for Precinct 42, SV Vista Village, and Direct the Elections Director to Place the Names on the Ballot in the Order Selected.
Background:
Pursuant to A.R.S. 16-464(B), if more persons file nomination petitions for the office of precinct committeeman for the primary election than the number to elect in a particular precinct, the position of the precinct committeemen candidate names must be drawn by lot at a public meeting called by the Board of Supervisors for that purpose. For Republicans, Precinct 42, SV Vista Village, has 7 open seats. 3 Republican candidates have filled nomination papers and 5 candidates have filed for a write-in seat.
