Discussion and possible direction regarding drainage issues along Old Pomerene Road in Benson, AZ.
Background:
In 2013, County Flood Control District (FCD) modified the drainage on a parcel the District owns along Old Pomerene Road. Said modification increased the velocity of the water as it passes through downstream properties.
The area in question was not originally located in a Special Flood Hazard Area until the Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps were published by FEMA on August 28, 2008. It is now located in a Special Flood Hazard Area - Flood Zone A.
