Approve Contract 21-07-DEV-01 with Rutherford Diversified Industries in the amount of $63,000 for clean up of parcel just west of 6900 East Dake Road, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.

Background:

A parcel just west of 6900 E. Dake Road in Sierra Vista has become a large illegal dumping ground.
The Development Services Department requested that Procurement issue a formal request for proposals for the cleanup of this parcel.
The Procurement Department issued Request for Proposal 21-07-DEV-01 on November 5, 2020. Three vendors submitted proposals.

All proposals were reviewed by the Development Services Department and Procurement with the winning bidder being Rutherford Diversified Industries.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Issue Contract and Purchase Order to Rutherford Diversified Industries and begin scheduling the work.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The parcel just west of E. Dake Road will remain an illegal dumping site.
