Agenda Item Text:
Approve the Over-the-Counter sale of tax deed properties as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, plus related administrative fees.
Background:
At the December 15, 2020 Board Meeeting, the Board approved the Tax Deed Land Auction. Following the Auction, 16 units, or parcels, of land remained for the Over-the-Counter (OTC) sale. The OTC sale was held from February 1, 2021 through February 12, 2021.
Bids were received on every unit during the OTC sale. Exhibit A shows the high bid for each unit. Bidders who provided bids lower than the minimum bid amount were asked to provide justification, though not all did. Bidders also provided a check in the amount of $25 for administrative fees for each unit bid.
Some units received multiple bids and staff recommends that they be opened for counter offers during today's meeting.
