Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve Contract No. CTR057136 Border Region Partnership between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services, for COVID-19 vaccinations and education of Arizona border populations, in the amount of $99,996, effective December 1, 2021, through May 1, 2022.
Background:
IGA CTR057136 Border Region Partnership is for the purpose of increasing COVID-19 vaccination outreach to hard-to-reach border communities. CHSS has been informally partnering with the University of Arizona Mobile Outreach program to deliver vaccines in Douglas and Naco, Arizona. CHSS will enter into a service agreement with U of A that will expand U of A’s ability to bring vaccine services to other areas of Cochise County. The focus will be on community members who might have difficulty getting into our more urban areas of the County. The full amount of the IGA will be passed through to the U of A.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Your approvals are respectfully requested.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
CHSS will not be able to expand access to vaccine services in Cochise County.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
