Approve Amendment 3 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) YH16-0018-13 between the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Cochise County, effective May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023.
Background:
This Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System allows the Cochise County Detention Medical Clinic to be charged at a lower rate when inmates have to be hospitalized.
Amendment # 3 extends our agreement with AHCCCS for another year.

§ Ensure Cochise County account has the minimum required $10,000 balance
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County would be required to pay for inmate hospitalizations without the benefit of the Medicaid Eligible Fee For Service Project.
