Information

Agenda Item Text:

Approve Amendment 1 to Intergovernmental Agreement IGA2021-074, COVID-19 Response Staffing, between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services, effective March 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023, to extend the agreement, and rename the agreement to CTR058657.

Background:

IGA CTR058657, previously IGA2021-074, was originally accepted by the Board of Supervisors on 12/15/2020. The original amount of the IGA was for $352,000 and was scheduled to end 2/28/2022.  This amendment extends the grant period to 2/28/2023 to allow Counties to fully expense the grant funds.

This IGA has funded the work of the contracted School Epidemiologist, the contracted Epidemiologist who maintains our COVID-19 line list, and our contract with Rapid Trace, a company providing us with case investigation and contact tracing services.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Send signed approved IGA back to ADHS

Continue work of the School Epidemiologist and Rapid Trace

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

We would not be able to continue to provide the support services of the School Epidemiologist to the schools, and would have to refer all case investigation and contact tracing to ADHS.
