Approve Arizona Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program Grant Agreement ACESF-22-001 between the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission and the Cochise County Attorney's Office, in the amount of $7,332, for technology supplies used in the Victim/Witness Program, effective March 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
Background:
This award, in response to the coronavirus, allows counties in our state to support, and supply. Victims within our Victim Compensation Program and members of the Victim Compensation Board with technology supplies. Victims will be able to utilize these supplies to apply for victim compensation program benefits, while still maintaining a safe distance for the alleged perpetrator, and will also provide Victim Compensation Board Members easy access to training materials and the ability to attend virtual meetings. These funds will also allow better and more frequent communication with our Compensation Coordinator.
The amount of this agreement is $7,332, being awarded by Federal Department of Justice.

Notify County Board Administration and Finance to add a fund line to place the funds in.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County Victim Witness/Compensation will not be able to provide online assistance with Compensation applications in both County offices. Compensation has gone online and this will provide victims that don’t have at home access to have it at our office.
