Approve the Election Boards for the Presidential Preference Election to be held on February 28, 2012 as listed on the attachment, in accordance with A.R.S. 16.531.
Background:
A.R.S. 16.531 states that not less then twenty days prior to a general or primary election, the Board of Supervisors shall apponit for each election precinct one inspector, one marshall, two judges and not less then two clerks. A.R.S. 16-241 (c) states that Presidential Preference Election shall be conducted and canvassed in the same manner as a primary election.
Note that some vacancies still exist and will be filled prior to the election. The Elections Director will make any necessary changes to ensure that all boards are filled for the election.
