Discussion and possible direction regarding an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Housing Authority of Cochise County (HACC) and the City of Douglas for the HACC to absorb 193 Housing Choice Vouchers and active Family Self-Sufficiency participants from the City of Douglas, effective January 1, 2023.
Background:
The City of Douglas requested the HACC absorb 193 Housing Choice Vouchers currently administered by the City within the city limits of Douglas. This will increase the allocated voucher amount HACC currently has from 493 to 686 and the vouchers will serve both Cochise and Graham Counties.
Proposed Outcome: The IGA reviewed at the work session will be on the agenda for a regular board meeting September 27, 2022 with modifications/changes. Voucher absorption is to be effective 1-1-23.
