Adopt Zoning Ordinance 22-21, to rezone 21 parcels located in the Babocomari from R-36 (Residential, one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) and RU-2 (Rural, one dwelling per 2 acres) to RU-4 (Rural, one dwelling per 4 acres), pursuant to a County-initiated request.
Background:
County initiated a request with the property owner permission to downzone the properties to remove a condition of rezoning requiring a subdivision plat. All properties are located in the Babocamari and agree to RU-4 zoning (Rural, minimum lot size of 4 acres)
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Update the County zoning boundary for subject parcels to RU-4.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Property owners may be required to request individual rezoning requests to RU-4 to remove the conditions placed on the current zoning or submit a subdivision plat and develop under the current zoning.
