Agenda Item Text:
Approve Proposal 2307-23134 with Pueblo Mechanical & Controls to install Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units, under Mohave Cooperative Contract 19F-PMAC-0904, in the Library District warehouse, in the amount of $67,125.76, effective September 12, 2023.
Background:
There are currently two swamp coolers in the Library District's warehouse that are in poor condition. The warehouse is used to store numerous books and also is partially used as the department's office space. Both of the swamp coolers have repeatedly failed to work properly and have left the Library District's staff in uncomfortable working conditions. It is the Facilities Management Department's recommendation to install a proper HVAC unit to replace the two failing swamp coolers to keep staff comfortable.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Issue Purchase Order to Pueblo Mechanical & Controls and begin scheduling the work.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved, the two swamp coolers that are currently in the Library District's warehouse will continue to insufficiently heat and cool the warehouse, leaving employees in an uncomfortable work environment.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Please sign Proposal #2307-23134. Please email one (1) copy to Jackie McElyea in Facilities and one (1) copy to Anne Coppola in Procurement.
