Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve Arizona 911 Program Grant Agreement, ADOA-AZ911-24-01 with the Arizona Department of Administration to fund Public Safety Answering Points services, in the amount of $554,902, effective through June 30, 2024.
Background:
This is a 100% reimbursable grant from the State of Arizona to cover bills associated with 911 services county-wide. This grant was previously administered through the City of Sierra Vista; however, this Fiscal Year the City requested that the County take over administration as the County provides all IT support services to Southeastern Arizona Communications (SEACOM).
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Process phone bills that are pending payment, and request reimbursement from the State of Arizona.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
SEACOM 911 phone bills will not be paid, which could result in loss of phone service to SEACOM.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Send the signed copy to the SEACOM Director, Tammi-Jo Willkins.
