Approve Proposal 7349199 with Trane U.S. Inc. for the replacement of one Heating, Ventililation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit at 1415 Melody Lane, Bldg F in the amount of $119,711, effective October 10, 2023.
Background:
The current HVAC unit at Melody Lane, Bldg F has repeatedly failed to work properly due to its old age. This has caused County staff to work in extremely uncomfortable working conditions. It is the Facilities Management Department's recommendation to replace the current HVAC unit at Building F to prevent further system failure.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Anne Coppola, Procurement Contracts Administrator, will sign the proposal. Facilities Management will then issue a purchase order to Trane U.S. Inc. and begin scheduling the work.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The current HVAC unit will continue to fail due to age, leaving employees that work at Building F without proper cooling or heat.
