Acknowledge receipt of the written presentation by the San Pedro Valley Hospital District Board of Directors of the certified canvass of the November 7, 2023, Special Election.
Background:
The San Pedro Valley Hospital District ("District") is a special taxing district organized under A.R.S. Title 48, Chapter 13. A.R.S. § 16-642(B) requires the governing body of a special district as defined in title 48 shall present to the Board of Supervisors a certified copy of the official canvass of the election at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
The District held a Special Election on November 7, 2023 for the continuation of the hospital tax levy. In compliance with statute, the District has presented the attached certification of the official canvass, and the certification is on today's agenda to comply with statute. The Board of Supervisors does not take action on the canvass itself or any type of action on this item.
