Approve the Proclamation declaring June 2025 as Family Reunification Month in Cochise County.

Background:

Family Reunification Day honors birth parents who have taken the necessary steps to reunite with their children.

Cochise County, along with its partners, will come together to celebrate families who have achieved permanency after overcoming the challenges that led to their children being removed and placed in foster care. The majority of children in out-of-home care have a case plan goal of family reunification. Each year, thousands of children across Arizona are successfully reunified with their families.

Of the dependency cases that closed in 2024, approximately 49% of dependent children from Cochise County were reunified with their families.
