Discussion and possible direction with Stifel Public Finance regarding bond financing structure, jail construction budget planning, and excise tax ballot language.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) and/or (A)(4) to receive legal advice or to discuss contract negotiations.

Background:

Background & Purpose:
The Board of Supervisors will convene in a special meeting to discuss and consider matters related to the following:

Stifel Bond Financing – Review and discussion of proposed bond financing strategies and terms with Stifel, the County’s financial advisor. Possible direction or action related to issuance or structuring of bonds.
Jail Construction Budget – Presentation and analysis of updated budget estimates for the proposed jail facility. Discussion may include revised cost projections, funding sources, and potential financial impacts.
Excise Tax Ballot Language – Review and potential approval of ballot language for a proposed excise tax measure intended to fund jail construction or related infrastructure. Legal counsel may provide guidance on statutory requirements and voter communication.
