Adopt Jail District Resolution 25-03, approving the ballot language for the November 4, 2025, Election.
Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3) the Board may vote to recess into an executive session for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Board’s attorney on any matter listed on the agenda.

Background:
A.R.S. § 48-4022 provides that the board of directors of a jail district in a county having a population of less than one million five hundred thousand persons may by resolution order the approval of a district excise tax to be placed on the ballot of an election pursuant to section 48-4021. The Cochise County Jail District Board of Directors adopted Jail District Resolution 25-01, calling for the election on the question of approval of the excise tax to be held on November 4, 2025. The attached ballot language is drafted for board approval.

Submit ballot language to the Elections department in English and Spanish.

County will not meet the deadline for ballot language and may be unable to hold the election in November.
