Adopt Resolution 25-20 to approve Vote Center for the November 4, 2025, Election as listed on the attached Exhibit; and authorize the Elections Director to make substitutions as necessary prior to the election, in the event that a Vote Center replacement needs to be made in accordance with A.R.S.16-411.
Background:
Pursuant to A.R.S. 16-411, the Board must designate polling places prior to an election. That Statute also allows for the Board to authorize the Elections Director to make substitutions as necessary prior to the election in the event a Vote Center replacement needs to be made in accordance with A.R.S. 16-411.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Finalize all Vote Centers rental agreements and promote locations for the November 4, 2025, Election.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
State Law requires the designatin of polling place/voting centers. Not approving this would also mean a delay in securing the facilites as they are popular public meeting places that book up a year in advance.
