Approve the Merit Commission member appointment of Mr. Joel Evans, effective August 19, 2025 through August 19, 2029.
Background:
A.R.S.§ 11-353 A. states in part, "the board of supervisors shall appoint a county employee merit system commission to assist in administering the system. The commission shall consist of five members, and B. Members of the commission shall be selected from among the qualified electors of the county. No more than three of the members shall be from the same political party." Mr. Evans' appointment will fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Elda Orduño, Democrat, for a total of three of this party on the commission.
