Background:
The Board of Supervisors periodically reviews the County’s maintained road inventory to ensure alignment with statutory requirements, transportation priorities, and available resources. This work session will provide an opportunity for the Board to discuss:

The current list of County-maintained roads.

Requests or recommendations for adding roads to the maintenance system.

Roads proposed for removal from County maintenance.
-
Applicable statutory and policy criteria for adding or removing roads.

Fiscal and operational impacts of proposed changes.
Staff will provide an overview of the existing road maintenance program, the evaluation process for road inclusion or removal, and any pending requests received from the public or other agencies. The Board may provide direction to staff for next steps, including preparing a formal action item for a future regular meeting.
