Approve Contract No. 25-17-HEA-01 with Westwood Pharmacies to provide pharmaceutical services for Detention Health, for a one-year term beginning September 2, 2025.

Background:

Detention Health Services worked with Procurement in issuing a scope of work for the formal bidding process. The Procurement Department issued Request for Proposal 25-17-HEA-01 on February 27, 2025. All interested vendors were invited to a pre-bid site visit on March 24, 2025. All proposals were due on April 24, 2025. Three vendors submitted proposals. The proposals were evaluated and submitted to the Procurement Department on June 6, 2025, with the determination of Westwood Pharmacies being the winning bidder.   

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Issue Contract and Purchase Order to Westwood Pharmacies. 

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

Detention Health Services will not have a valid vendor to provide pharmaceutical services for the individuals housed within Cochise County Detention Center. Failure to approve this contract could significantly disrupt the delivery of essential healthcare services.
