Approve the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission (ACJC) Criminal Justice and Treatment Improvement Program Grant Agreement CJTIP-25-008 between the ACJC and Cochise County Probation Department, in the amount of $36,629, effective April 17, 2025, through September 30, 2025.
Background:
The Arizona Criminal Justice and Treatment Improvement Program will reimburse the Probation Department for the expense of drug testing adult probationers. These expenses were previously paid for by Community Punishment Program (CPP) funding from the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), which applied for and was awarded this grant through the ACJC. Arizona Probation Departments were each allocated amounts from this grant to cover the expenses previously covered by the AOC funding. The AOC has instructed the probation department to use the probation fee account to pay for these expenses and to deposit the ACJC reimbursements. A County match is not required.

Submit expense details to ACJC for reimbursement of drug testing expenses for adult probationers.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
No reimbursement for these expenses will be received by the department.
