Discussion and Possible Direction Regarding the Cost Analysis of the Health and Detention Medical Director Position.
Background:
The Board of Supervisors will hold a work session to discuss the Health and Detention Medical Director position. The purpose of this discussion is to review and evaluate the most cost-effective approach for providing health care services to both the County Health Center and the Detention Facility. Currently, the County is assessing whether to consolidate these services under a single provider or to maintain separate contracts.
Staff will provide cost estimates and options to assist the Board in determining the most fiscally and operationally sound course of action moving forward.
