Adopt Zoning Ordinance 26-03 to rezone tax parcel 408-16-009E from R-36 (Residential District, one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) to GB (General Business District) pursuant to the application of Snell & Wilmer LLP, on behalf of property owner Freeport Minerals Corporation (Supervisor District 2).
Background:
The County received a request from Snell & Wilmer LLP (applicant) to rezone tax parcel 408-16-009E from R-36 (Residential District, one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) to GB (General Business District). The property totals about 102 acres and is located at the northwest corner of State Route 80 and U.S. Highway 191 near Douglas.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The department will update the zoning map to reflect the new zoning district.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The parcel will remain R-36 and future development will conform to applicable use and site development standards of the R-36 zoning district.
