Discussion of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process for future candidate-searches for the Medical Director position, including procedures, timing, milestones, and documentation.

Background:
The Board of Supervisors has previously directed staff to utilize a Request for Proposals (RFP) process to identify qualified candidates for the Medical Director position. Due to ongoing workforce shortages and limited availability of qualified physicians, recruitment for this role remains challenging.
This item is being brought forward to allow the Board to discuss the County’s future approach to the RFP process for the Medical Director position and to provide any direction to staff.
